Governance Internship x 2, 100%, una europa, Brussels

We are offering two full-time (38 hours per week) six-month student internships in Governance, one in the Autumn and one in the Winter, based at the Una Europa headquarters in Brussels, during our normal business hours (Monday – Friday, 9:00 – 17:00). Please indicate in your application whether you are applying for the Autumn or the Winter internship.

The Autumn internship will begin in September 2024 and conclude at the end of February 2025.
The Winter internship will begin in January 2025 and conclude at the end of June 2025.

Tasks

  • Attend the meetings of the Una Europa Student Board and provide assistance, in close cooperation with the Co-chairs and relevant actors
  • Support the Una Europa Student Board in monitoring and engaging with alliance activities
  • Attend Una Europa operational meetings on behalf of the Student BoardRepresent and support the student viewpoint to the Una Europa Brussels-based team
  • Represent and support the Una Europa vzw viewpoint to different stakeholder groups, as relevant
    Undertake specific tasks on behalf of Una Europa vzw, as required

Profile and skills

  • A student at the master or PhD level – currently registered at one of the eleven Una Europa universities, or a recent graduate from one of the eleven Una Europa universities
  • Excellent spoken and written language proficiency in English; other Una Europa languages an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
  • Ability to work independently and to show initiative
  • Proactive, team working spirit and positive attitude
  • Proficient in social media communications
  • Background in student governance and/or representation

What we offer

An opportunity for international work experience under the framework of a Belgian Professional Internship Agreement. Successful candidates are paid through a BIS contract, and may also be eligible for ECTS credits and an Erasmus+ mobility grant (candidates are invited to make inquiries regarding their eligibility for an Erasmus+ mobility grant with the appropriate office of their local universities).
