The Department of Political Science at the University of Zurich (www.ipz.uzh.ch) invites applications for a PhD position in the research group of Thomas Widmer, who holds a professorship in Political Science with focus on Evaluation.
Your responsibilities
- development and conduct your own PhD project in the professorship’s field of research, namely re-
- search on policy making, implementation and evaluation (with a focus on Switzerland)
- participation in the department’s doctoral program, which offers advanced methodological and substantive training as well as professional development
- contribution to the activities of the research group
Your profile
- a MA/MSc in political science (or in a related discipline)
- strong interest in research on policy making, implementation and evaluation
- good knowledge of Swiss politics
- solid training in social science methods (preferably quantitative and qualitative)
- ability to work both independently and in a team
- very good working knowledge of German and English; knowledge of French and/or Italian is an asset
