In an era of rapid technological advancement, the Institute for Global Negotiation’s Global Negotiation Conference 2024 will focus on the theme ‘Negotiating The Governance Of Emerging Technologies’. As artificial intelligence increasingly embeds itself across various facets of society, establishing coherent norms and standards will be imperative. The conference is aimed at graduate students from various disciplines. Over four days, participants will learn to combine negotiation theory and practice, culminating in a full-day multilateral simulation.

The GNC 2024 is hosted by the Chair of Political Philosophy and the Chair of International Relations and Political Economy at the University of Zurich, and takes place on-site. The Conference is an anually recurring event organised by the IGN since 2014.
The Institute for Global Negotiation (IGN) is an independent non-profit association aimed at improving the understanding of the nature and processes of global negotiation among students, academics and practitioners. Members of the IGN participate in research projects, develop teaching resources as well as organise events and courses.
