  • von

WSIS Forum is co-organized by ITU, UNESCO, UNCTAD and UNDP, is a global UN process and as part of its activities, we organize the WSIS Forum annually. The Forum is a global multistakeholder platform facilitating the implementation of the WSIS Action Lines for advancing sustainable development. WSIS Forum 2023 is scheduled to take place from 13 to 17 March at the ITU Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland with remote participation. Virtual sessions will continue in April and May 2023. For more information kindly visit our website www.wsis.org/forum.

The WSIS 2023, the Geneva Model United Nations (GIMUN), Popaedia and other stakeholders are organizing the first edition of the WSIS Youth Campaigns Prize. Through this multi-stakeholder collaboration, we hope to bring together the subjects of the Digital Future, Technology and Youth. Today’s youth is aware of the digital era’s potential and challenges. We aim to amplify the voices of young people, who lie at the heart of both issues. That is why we are organizing a global competition for the youth and university students: A call for digital media for the theme: Digital Future Through Meaningful Inclusion of Youth. An opportunity to exchange, dialogue and exhibit Youth – led ICT Projects and Initiatives. This competition will take place as part of the annual World Summit on Information Society Forum, a global multi-stakeholder platform facilitating the implementation of the WSIS Action Lines to advance sustainable development.

WSIS Forum welcomes new partnerships and collaborations in leveraging information and communication technologies for sustainable development. Partnering with the WSIS Forum will bring great opportunities to network, share best practices, and participate in multistakeholder discussions and consultations on the WSIS implementation. We are very much looking forwards to receive your submissions. Kindly find attached all the relative information that you can share the university students. Here is the link to the submission form:
