The Energy Politics Group (EPG) within the Department of Humanities, Social, and Political Sciences of ETH Zurich investigates questions related to the governance of technological change in the energy sector.
The Energy Politics Group (EPG) at ETH Zurich looks for student assistants to contribute to the compilation and coding of a dataset on energy policy design in OECD countries. The work will contribute to a new research project on using approaches from machine learning and computational social science to help assessing countries’ policy approaches. The tasks mainly comprise collecting and annotating policy texts following a given coding scheme, as well as supporting the creation of a systematic training database of these coded texts. Students will also have the opportunity to get involved in EPG’s broader research agenda. We are looking specifically for candidates with interest in public policy and policy design or law.
